Gold Coast University Hospital is a vital component in Queensland Health's vision to deliver state-of-the-art health service facilities designed to cope with extraordinary population growth in South East Queensland.
The purpose-built Coast University Hospital was opened in 2013.
The facility is made up of seven main buildings, with a total floor space of approximately 170,000 square metres.
Flexibility and technology were central to the design of the hospital, allowing for future expansion in line with the changing and growing needs of the community.
The hospital provides 750 patient beds, with over 70 per cent in single occupancy rooms. We designed welcoming areas for families and friends to take time out, a dedicated teaching hospital, and on-site car parking for up to 3,000 vehicles.
